Dr. Tshidi Gule
Dr. Gule is the Founder of Medispace Lifestyle Institute. She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with an MBBCh. In 2010, she received Top Honours for New Venture Creation at Wits Business School. Her entrepreneurial career began in 2006 with the creation of health models that prioritise preventative care over curative care; are multilingual and innovative. These models are the foundation of what Medispace Lifestyle Institute is today. She is also the Author of the best-selling entrepreneurship and mentorship memoir, Rough Diamond.
She loves a good book and the outdoors.
Grace holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of South Africa (UNISA). She is currently studying for an MSc in Global Management with the University of Salford, Zurich. Whilst a career in communications was not a planned one for her, she has been enjoying it since 2006 when she fell into it by chance. She’s excited to finish her Masters Degree so that she can start her Psychology studies at Wits University.
She enjoys running, horseback riding, relaxing with a book or watching tennis non-stop.
Sam de Villiers
Sam has over 12 years experience in customer service, sales and administration in the technology and medical sector and ensures that the lives of the medical practitioners at Medispace Lifestyle Institute flow seamlessly. Currently pursuing studies in Human Resources, she is passionate about delivering quality service in every task she takes on.
She loves listening to music, watching movies and settling down with a good book occasionally.
Dr. Thando Hlongwane
Dr. Hlongwane graduated from Stellenbosch University with an MBBChB in 2012 and concurrently won an award for the Best Elective. She has experience in both the private and public medical sectors with a keen interest in the ever-changing world of clinical medicine. Working with children is one of her passions. Occupational Health fascinates her as well, and she’s looking forward to studying it in the near future.
She enjoys spending most of her time outdoors with a good book.
Dr. Nthabiseng Kumalo
Dr. Kumalo graduated from Stellenbosch University with an MBBChB and is currently studying for a Diploma in HIV/AIDS and TB. A team player, she thrives in challenging environments and believes in continuously growing her medical knowledge. She is also working towards completing her Diploma in Anaesthetics with the College of Medicine South Africa next year. Sports Science has been on her mind of late, and she’s considering studying it at some point in her career.
She enjoys charity work, going to the gym and reading.
Dr. Anita Marais
Dr. Marais graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with an MBBChB. She also earned her Bachelor of Science and later her Masters of Science in Medical Cell biology at the same institution. She has certifications in Advanced HIV Management; Basic Life Support; Neonatal Resuscitation; and Basis Assessment & Support in Intensive Care. In 2007, she won the Young Scientist Award XIX International Symposium of Morphological Science in Hungary. In 2010, she won The South African Dental Association Young Scientist Award.
She enjoys painting, creative baking and travelling.
Dr. Siya Yekani
Dr. Yekani graduated from the University of Cape Town with an MBChB. She has BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BSS (Basic Surgical Skills) certifications. With experience both in the private and public sector, she believes in empowering patients to have all the tools they need to live longer, healthy lives. She is looking to study Surgery in the future.
She has a passion for fashion.
Dr. Kim Bermosky
Dr. Bermosky graduated from the Walter Sisulu University with an MBChB. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Stellenbosch and Diploma in Occupational Health from the University of Cape Town. She has Basic Surgical Skills, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications.
She enjoys exploring alternative healing techniques and models.
Dr. Reshania Naidoo
Dr. Naidoo graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with an MBChB. She has presented both locally and internationally on TB research for which, she also received local media coverage. She is a contributor to medical journals and has basic Surgery Skills, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
She loves to spend time with her dog, kayaking and hiking.
Dr. Tesham Naicker
Dr. Naicker graduated from the University of Cape Town with an MBChB and a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care. She has Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support certification. In the long-term, she sees herself as a travelling, emergency doctor.
She enjoys cooking, dancing, and hiking.
Dr. Annette Venkatesan
Dr. Venkatesan graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with an MBChB. She has Advanced Trauma Life Support, Basic Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
She’s interested in furthering her medical studies and sees herself specialising in Paediatrics in the near future.
She loves animals and enjoys travelling.
Ergonomic Consultant & Therapist
Heidi is qualified as an Ergonomic Risk Assessor, in line with S.A. future regulatory board. She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a BA Psychology, including Industrial Sociology & Psychology and earned her Psychology Honours from Rhodes University. She also studied therapeutic wellness & massage; body alignment techniques; homeopathy; advanced sports massage; Trigger Point therapy; taping; and Lyno Sports Method, Fascia release at different institutions across the world.
